Fluorescent Lighting

What is Flourescent Light?
Flourescent light is continuous light source which often produces a green cast with daylight balanced film.

Set 1

The model was placed in the studio with a 5500K flourescent daylight coming from the models right hand side causing a dark shadow on the left.

(settings - 1/125, F5.6, ISO 800, White Balance - Tungstan)

Set 2

In this composition the 5500K fluorescent daylighting is coming from above the model making the models face bright and clear.

(settings - 1/125, 5.6, ISO 800, White Balance - Shady)

Set 3

This image shows the 5500K fluorescent daylighting coming from below the model. This makes the model face clear and bright in some areas but around the eye the lighting is dark and shadows are formed.

(Settings - 1/125, F5.6, ISO 800, White Balance - Cloudy)

Natural Lighting

Set 1

In this composition the model was sat against a white wall with natural lighting coming in from through the window from the left. A shadow was caused on the models right hand side of the face because of the direction of lighting.

(Settings - 1/125 F4.5 ISO 400, White Balance)

This image again was taken with the natural lighting coming in from the left hand side. With this composition I used a different setting for a different effect.

In this image the natural lighting was coming from the left of the model causing a shadow on the right hand side of the models face. In this composition I tried a slightly different setting to see the different results.

(Settings - 1/125 F5.6 ISO 800, White light - Tungston)

Set 4

In this compsition the model sat bay a white wall with natural lighting coming from the left hand side. To capture light on his left hand side we used a reflector to bounce the natural light.

In this compositon the natural lighting came from behind the model, reflector was placed infront of the model so that his face was lit up.
